Tribeca Duplex Penthouse
The project encompasses the entire apartment, from the terrace and kitchen to the living spaces, three bedrooms, four bathrooms and custom furnishings, all seamlessly integrated with an advanced AV home system. Each element was carefully crafted to reflect a harmonious blend of style, functionality, and personal narrative.
Terrace: A Contemporary Oasis
The terrace, a standout feature of the penthouse, boasts a series of nine exquisite brick arches, framing views of the Hudson River. Pennoyer’s custom-design planters fit perfectly within each arch, incorporating plant species chosen to complement the New York climate while enhancing the space’s natural beauty. The addition of classic-style awnings and handcrafted child’s swing imbues the terrace with a sense of playfulness, ensuring it’s a true outdoor oasis for both relaxation and entertainment.
Kitchen: Designed for the Senses
For the kitchen, the design concept was centered around textural richness and unique materiality. A custom hand-painted mirror backsplash serves as a striking focal point, setting the tone for the rest to the design elements—brass, teak, zinc, and mercury glass. The combination of materials evokes a sense of warmth and sophistication, while blending seamless into the open living space.
Bathrooms: Four Distinct Styles
Each of the home’s four bathrooms is a study in individuality, with distinct styles that reflect the client’s appreciation for both traditional elegance and modern innovation. From modern minimalism to more intricate, detailed designs, the spaces were unified with a carefully considered fixtures and a cohesive color palette.
